Is it a Cold, or the Flu?

We're sick in this house.  Both Princess E and I are down with some kind of a bug.  You can imagine the first question anyone asks is "Is it swine flu?".  Nope.  Don't think so.  There's tons of good information out there, but there is really only one way to be 100% certain.  There is a test, which requires a trip to the doctor, which I'd just as soon avoid.  

Come to think of it, I fear we picked up whatever it is we have when I took Princess E to the pediatrician last week for her annual checkup.  We were hyper-vigilant about not touching things while we were there, handwashing before and after the visit, and using hand sanitizer when we moved between rooms. 

We both started out with a sore throat, which progressed quickly to nasty noses.  Oh, such fun!  Unfortunately, we have both been running low grade fevers with it.  Nothing like body aches to make you feel wonderful.  So, we are staying in bed and resting on the couch as much as we can.  It's a good excuse to eat soup and popsicles for a few days, too.

My only real complaint:  I have seen and heard so much Strawberry Shortcake in the last week that I'm starting not to like the videos.  I told her that today, she had to find something else to watch.  So, now I'm listening to Ernest.  I'm going to go hide under the covers.

Please keep King J in your thoughts and prayers.  He doesn't need this.
