Giving Thanks...

I hope each of you is having a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, complete with good company and good food.  This week, I want to share some of the things for which I am thankful, in no particular order.

1.  I am thankful that God has blessed me with good health, a wonderful husband, a delightful daughter, a charming step-daughter, and a huge extended family.

2.  I am thankful for all the "little things" King J does for me.  Things like...bringing me a hot cup of fresh coffee on weekend mornings, willingly running to the store when I've forgotten something, taking my car to fill the tank just so I won't have to do it, calling me during the day just to see how my day is going, and bringing me little treats occasionally.  Then, there's the way he notices other "little things".  Things like...noticing when I've been working hard on a particular cleaning/organizing task or complimenting me on a dish he particularly likes.

3.  I am thankful that we have been able to start homeschooling Princess E this year.  It has been the most challenging job I have ever had.  Ever.  It has not been easy; but we are all learning together.  King J has been so supportive, even when it interrupts dinner.

4.  I am thankful for the friendship of our neighbors.

5.  I am thankful for the friends I have made through blogging.  I have "met" a lot of people whose paths I wouldn't have crossed if it were not for the blogging world.  I've even had the opportunity to meet a couple of bloggers in person, and now count them among my in-real-life friends.

6.  I am thankful for the opportunity to worship freely in the church of my own choosing.

7.  I am thankful for the flavor of a delicious cup of hot coffee.

8.  I am thankful for having so many things that make life easier than past generations...indoor plumbing, grocery stores, automobiles, dishwashers and washing machines, just to name a few.

9.  I am thankful that our family situation allows for me to be at home during this season of our lives.

10.  I am thankful for the career I have had and will one day resume.

11.  I am thankful for my Lord and Savior, who promises me eternal life with him when this life is over.

Now, I'm off to enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner.
