At Valentine's Day the next year, she made this in preschool.
Later that same year, she decorated this turtle. I wonder what Elijah would think of this little guy.
As Princess E got older, she started doing more of her own artwork. This may not look as fancy, but it is 100% hers. This was done in art during first grade. Notice the colorful heart, the bird and the fish. That, by the way, is a lionfish. Get it? A lion face on a fish.
This was a project from first grade as well. They were learning about how they can show God's love using their hands. She traced hers. (I think the stick-people are supposed to be singing; but they kinda look like they are screaming.)
In art class, they practiced Hopi weaving. We had the opportunity to visit Arizona and learn about the Hopi people during our 2007 vacation.
This was her Mother's Day project last year. She decorated a butterfly cutout and glued fragrant potpourri to it.
Finally, this was her Mother's Day project this year. She made me this lovely, heart-shaped trinket box. She formed it and painted it. Her art teacher took all these projects home and baked the glaze. How sweet! I can't think of a more wonderful Mother's Day gift!
Many thanks to our hostesses for planning this Blog Carnival.
