Show Us Where You Live Friday - Laundry Room Edition

Okay. Here's my laundry room. Make that closet. Better yet, let's just call it a laundry nook, shall we? It's so large that I had to stand outside the room and take a photo of the reflection of the laundry area. That's why you see pink flowers in the bottom left corner. Those are on the mirror. On the bottom right, notice my camera strap.

My laundry room may be small; but it is almost fun to do laundry. You know, except for the sorting, folding, hanging and putting away part. We bought this set last October. The first night we had it, the hubby and I stood and watched the laundry spin. I kid you not! We live such exciting lives that even watching laundry is a thrill.

On top of the washer, I keep a little tub with detergent and stain stuff. There's also that beach bag that has a few odd laundry things in it. On the dryer, I keep my dryer sheets and the bleach. Since the washer spins like a jet engine, keeping the bleach on top would probably be a bad idea. It's been known to fling stuff.

I also keep a little coffee can that Princess E made in GA's (Girls in Action). Any money found in pockets or one of the machines goes in there. In the fall, we use the money for Operation Christmas Child.

One of my favorite things is that my machines are up at a comfortable level. We decided to go ahead and buy the pedestal drawers to go underneath. That puts the doors at just the right height for me, and makes it so Princess E can help, too. The drawers are nice for storing extra laundry supplies when I get them on a super-duper sale.
